Know the game you're playing
Yesterday we left off with:
Money is an external tool to get the internal feeling you really desire:
Freedom
Safety
Status
Worthiness
Etc.
But it’s not the money that generates the internal feeling.
It’s the journey of making the money that generates the internal feeling.
Think of it like a video game.
Every great game takes the character on a journey.
The character advances through different levels by overcoming challenges.
And every time the character overcomes a challenge, they level up.
Think about it… what fun would the game be if there were no challenges?
Pretty lame, right?
There’d be no character development, no adversity, no trials and tribulations.
And it would make for a pretty weak character, wouldn’t it?
It’s the same when it comes to starting a business online.
Every external challenge you face is an opportunity to level up your character.
What most people see when things aren’t going their way is a “problem”.
But when you look at your business like a video game…
Those “problems” are simply challenges placed on your path to unlock a new level of character.
If what you’re after is worthiness [insert any other feeling you desire] - you don’t get it by winning the lottery.
You get it by playing the game - and leveling up with every challenge that presents itself.
That’s it for today. I’m currently in Jasper National Park in Canada. And the mountains are calling.
Tomorrow we’ll go over why most businesses fail… and how you can avoid this to set yourself up for success.
^ this is absolutely critical if your’e looking to start and scale an online business.
